Henrik's got the details on the keyboard chopping.
ReplyDeleteThe key matrixing on the 106 did lend itself nicely to the chop.
One thing not shown: as Henrik did, to get the lower octaves, you have to put in a switching mechanism so the CPU reads the keyboard switches as lower octaves. Henrik's solution was very elegant, using existing switches on the main panel and an LED indicator. Mine was less so: a toggle switch on the bender board, which happened after I took these pics.
Maybe I'll post my simple circuit...pretty much just analog switches.
