Ken MacBeth's Studio

via Ken MacBeth:

"Hi Matrix- just thought I'd drop you a line! I think that the matrixsynth blog is great and keeps people well in touch with everything synth- I visit everyday to see what's going on! Anyway for your interest or others- here are some pics of what I use and record with mostly. As you can see, it's pretty minimal- but none the less fun! When I get the time, after building, this is not only where I test what things sound like, but it's an opertunity to record too. Hopefully people will recognise some of the stuff I use. There are also, in the pics, other interesting devices- notably Function Generators which are serious fun to use with modular gear- or infact, any gear with CV inputs- I see them as way complex modulators- ebay is perfect for getting this stuff cheap! Look under Test and Measurement in the electronic parts dept! On my next run of M5N, I hope to have one myself! Kind Regards to All, Ken"

Thanks Ken! Click here for more shots of Ken's studio and of course check out MacBeth Studio Systems.

  2. Get back to work and release the X-Factor!

You should deny yourself sunlight until it's available, and only then emerge from your lab like Gollum clutching this new synth and mumbling 'my precious'.

    Ya hear me!!!?!

  6. Yes,
    The Doc is right...
This is an industry where one who has a contribution only gets rewarded by remaining totally reclusive.
It remains a law of implied suggestion that, within this community, once one proves himself of any worthy potential it is necessary to lock yourself in your home as though it were a closet.
Use this practice to hone your focus and psychic universal power into what it was you were put here to do, make synths, for us freaks...
Only then will you achieve enlightenment and absolute global harmony with those around you...

Ken, join us, those who know that social interaction is only acceptable when experienced through our donation of stable presence and innovation.

    Innovation of some kind...

    Sincerely yours,

  7. KEN!
    1. and most importantly, i need a FucketyBucket LP
    2. are there any issues/cautions using those FG's with mod gear?
    3. I have some cool B&K equipment but how does one convert this to modular standards... any place to buy B&K plugs? or best to replace the jacks?
    4. As much as i love and appreciate your synth designs, i really want modules now, frac, euro or motm at least thus far.
