Earning their lunch with the Blofeld

Update: Three more knob types:

pulseblo.jpg
saffireblo.jpg
bloP08.jpg
You should be able to guess these based on thier names.
Udpate: More info from Georg on the three Blofelds
"Blofeld Messe Prototype
Frank Schneider hat to tinker around here during last night before the Messe to make the display fit (somehow the wrong displays have been delivered)
Blofeld Pre Series Version
Different labeling on the Matrix and the right display, so quite tidy internally
Blofeld Production Version
Midi LED added, Power Switch added
Non Waldorf content, upper row:
Electro Harmonix Phasers, two different black Russian Small Stones,
two different green Russian Small Stones (older model), a new USA
version and a Behringer UP100
We did in fact recordings of the Phasers (incl. a DOD one, not shown)
driven by the noise of the Blofeld. Maybe more on that later..."
Love this!!! you guys & Matrix are fabulous for sharing this. I wonder how Beverly Center in L.A. would react? These Blofelds seem way cool, especially w/ chips & a milkshake!!!!

Nice! I hope to afford a Blofeld in the near future.
ReplyDeleteGreat, these wackjobs get to play around and make silly pictures with blofelds while Waldorf doesn't ship them to us regular folk. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a special sort of geeky.
ReplyDeleteThree Blomigos hahahah thats the worst name ever hahahah love it.
ReplyDeleteYeah it's obviously a reference to the film, The Three Amigos and of course all the blo(insertreferencehere) names they have come up with so far. They are all great guys in my book.
ReplyDeleteAs for the pics. The first couple are pretty funny, but I thought the Abbey Road one was particularly great.
I'm surprised that a Waldorf owner hasn't retrofitted a Blofeld with a big red knob.
ReplyDeleteUm,prob stupid question, but I'm wondering how they're monitoring their output?
ReplyDeleteOh man, good stuff. I LOL'ed at work when I saw these :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that box of wine in the first pic helped things along.
ReplyDeletebeacuse i've waited so much for the blofeld and waldorf didn't released it i finaly bought a uQ and now i'm tunning it the way the blofeld is designed. i'll post here (of course, with permission) the photos of the Nu uQ. it will include also an USB port like the blo (just for the midi - and it is derived from CME U2Midi cable, just like the waldorf included the AC adapter in the big Q). It is faster than normal midi transmission.
ReplyDeleteBy the way...great MatrixSpOt here and i always come back for news and a good pice of information.
P.S. When the Blofeld will be available for us, usual mortals, probably i'll tune it to - it seems that it will be a long wait...
good luck, waldie!
