"Included in the auction: The Wave with the original english user manual in boxed ringbinder, the software boot floppy disk, 6 other floppy disks with extra soundbanks, a spare pair of new, unused shock obsorbers (lift the front panel up) and some new spare CEM chips x4 (filter / vca chips)
Super rare synth, famous abusers include Hans Zimmer, the Orb, DJ Sasha, Depeche mode, R&S studios, Dave Angel etc. In total there were about 200 Waves made, i can only recall seeing a few turn up on Ebay in the last few years, but one just sold on Ebay germany for just over 6500 euros (over £5000), without any manuals or spares."
Wow...what is it with all of these crazy synth auctions this week? O_o
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, I wish this blog kept track of starting auction prices as well as the final price. Oftentimes I go back and look at old posts, and then find myself dismayed when the ebay auction has expired.
Great idea. You or anyone else for that matter is more than welcome to note the starting and end prices in the comments of the posts. I think the end prices would be the most interesting as that's what they went for. I'd do it myself, but there is no way I can keep up with 20+ posts a day. It wouldn't be too much for someone to do if they are interested. I say go for it! ;)
