the above link is the hi-fi divx version of video. Has much better audio quality! You will need to install the divx plugin to view it. Wrote a few patterns real quick into the future retro revolution, then piped the cv and gate into my modular, using the mfb osc-01 and the frequensteiner multimode filter! I love that live wire filter, when you drive it hard it gets wicked mean in high pass and bandpass. LOVE IT!

  1. Sounded way cool but man, it goes on way too long. In and Out man! stick it in, not stick around

  3. Sorry man, don't give up. The sounds are major cool, just not 5 minutes cool. Do lots of short stuff. Only takes a minute to show off a filter or osc.

  5. hexfix, I loved the video. Not too long at all for my tastes. I loved the intro and I loved the notes that showed what you were doing. I don't have the modular so it's useful for me to hear the range and subtleties shown. I'd rather you not rush the vid because at the length it is now you can get into the sound you were after. I'm sure the modules are capable of more, so imo I wouldn't mind more videos or a longer one.

  6. It just takes time away from me. i only want to demo this stuff to help matrix synth and analog haven..

i don't think i gain fans or sell cds from these demos, these are strictly for synth freaks, and the stores and sites i buy from and read from..

    Don't get me wrong.

I'm just out of new gear to show off. and the moog pedal is wearing off, i'm not such a fan of it now, it doesn't calibrate good enough for me.

  8. Yeah, it drifts so bad, constantly tuning, and even after it warms up. its good for like 1 and a half octaves bass sounds. thats it. if i try to do like spanning 303 stuff, it sounds so sour.. its yuck..

but man the tone and sound of that moog pedal is to die for. to bad its not stable enough to really be a musical oscillator.
