Common wisdom has it that the most important module for shaping your sound is the filter. I beg to differ: it's the envelope, stupid!

On the bench: Doepfer's A-140 ADSR, A-142 Decay/ Gate, A-143-1 Complex EG/ LFO & Cwejman's ADSR-VC2.

    Umm, most important module to shape the sound? Lets say you just have an audio signal and an EG, nothing else or just a sound and a filter. Which one's going to shape the sound??
