  1. I've been extremely dissatisfied with the craftsmanship I've received from synthwood. If you want quality custom wood, check out Analogics.

  2. Can you give a little more detail about what you bought and how you were extremely dissatisfied?

Synthwood was started so I could give my father something to do in his twilight years. He was doing some great work and he was enjoying it, however his health has deteriorated to the point where he can no longer enjoy doing work. For any mistake or item that a customer did not enjoy we either offered a full refund or a replacement.

Now synthwood is using new builders and adding on to our list of wood suppliers in the hope that we can expand our production and provide production run sourcing for the commercial synth retailers that have been asking for help. Doing work in larger runs will help with quality as well as the experience of certain builders.

This Prophet-5 was the last one my father did for me and I'm very pleased with the quality of his work. Greg Montalbano did the ROM and RAM update on the digital board. I did the power supply work as well as the recapping and trimming. Synthesis Technology provided new switches and pots.

  4. Jeff -

This is the exact Prophet-5 we talked about doing that as another joint effort but I never got around to sending it to you. Do we dare? ;-) The main issue is really shipping the base plate which is the majority of the weight and since USPS won't do surface anymore its a bit spendy. We'll sort something out.

In the mean while .. care to do two more white/maple Pro-Ones with us?
