Also included is the 'Kyma X Revealed' book by Carla Scaletti, an in depth guide to the workings of this extremely deep and versatile system which future music magazine calls 'The Holy Grail of Sound Design'.
These sure are neat!
ReplyDeleteHow odd, I found it easy as pie to use.
ReplyDeleteyeah, me, too. it can be as deep as you want.
ReplyDeleteI had one for years. I would agree that it's pretty easy to get started on one but it can get very, very deep if you're willing to chase it.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'd love to have a Kyma system.
ReplyDeletesensorium, maybe you just found out that you're not a target customer for a Kyma. There are plenty of other synth toys. Also, there are plenty of software-only visual-programming synthesis toolkits - many of them free - so it's not Kyma or nothing. Max/MSP, CPS, Plogue Bidule, Csound GUIs, etc.
