very neat...is it for sale?
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was released in Japan in early 2005, then in the US and Europe in 2006.
ReplyDeleteGreatest thing, i tried to play it on my live gig 2 weeks ago, after gig many people ask me - what is it?
ReplyDeleteVery few got released in the U.S., I've only seen pictures of the U.S. game - but apparently much more available in the U.K. - cartridges work fine in U.S. machines. I bought a used Japanese cartridge for pretty cheap.
ReplyDeleteVery cool and portable though it does have fidelity more like a game than computer audio fidelity - though with more ambient sound than games make -- which makes me think the DS-10 coming out will sound a lot more like game sound than a virtual synth
I've used mine live as well! It's pretty awesome, and , indeed, people come up after asking about it. When I got mine, it was only available mail-order (well, internet order). They're out of print now, but I've seen them on Amazon from $60 to $199! If I found a used one for cheap, I'd definitely get it (as a backup).
ReplyDeleteI recently picked up a copy on Ebay for $49.
