Formant synthesizer (1977)

"‘Formant’ is without doubt one of the biggest names from the Elektor history. The mega project goes back a good thirty years, was forgotten for about 25, and now hails us through Google and Ebay. Along with Chorosynth, it is one of the vintage instruments presented at the fabulous www.synthmuseum.com website."

  1. FYI, it is mentioned on the synthmuseum that Chorosynth is a polyphonic string instrument. That is not correct, the Chorosynth was a monophonic synth.

I pointed you to my pictures before (about the Philips Philicorda), you can also see my self-build synth there (information is on that page) that is actualy a Chorosynth with several Formant-modules bolted on.
