ReplyDeleteIf that surprises you, check this out: link. The original singer of the Sex Pistols was going to be Midge Ure of the synth band Ultravox. No joke. He turned it down and Malcom McLaren then went with John Lyden aka Johnny Rotton. I never would have guessed it.

ReplyDeleteAlso matrix I don't know if you check these often, but I think it'd be neat if you did a little segment about the synthpunk/ebm group DAF or Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. I believe they used an MS-20 with a sequencer, but yeah, you should look them up or something.
