Sequential Circuits Prophet-600

"This is the legendary Sequential Circuits Prophet 600, the first synthesizer to incorporate MIDI control. This one is marked with the serial number 049, which I was told by Wine Country SCI makes it one of the first fifty ever made. The chips and sound banks in these first generation synths actually differ from the second and third generation Prophets, which may be desirable for those trying for a different sound." Anyone know more about this statement?

    The seller has confused the various revisions of the Prophet-5 with this instrument.

    I think this is probably one of the first 49 ever made.

    They are good sounding analogs, but low res on the filter controls. Also, they only take midi in omni mode.
