I'm still wondering if anyone could clarify the relationship between the Axis-64 and the Opal Chameleon?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see the price of this one will be in the ball park of affordability (unlike the original 64). I can see it being a nice creative spark.
ReplyDeleteAs I understand it, Opal is the company started by the inventor and original developer of the Harmonic Table instruments. Opal sells only custom versions of the instrument, which they call the Sonome.
ReplyDeleteC-Thru Music was started by one of the investors in the original concept to develop and market a manufactured version of the Sonome. C-Thru's instruments are the AXiS-64 and now the AXiS-49. They aren't in competition with each other, as such; one does custom instruments and the other does a manufactured version of one of the custom instrument designs. Their relationship is amicable.
Yep! This looks very interesting!
