To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

I've always been super intrigued by Serge stuff but at the end of the day I've never heard any examples that I would say are "musical".
ReplyDeletethere is the Serge users tape from the 80s , heaps of musical stuff on it. There is even a track that sounds like Aphex Twins Didgeridoo 10 years before his release
ReplyDeleteBenjamin this track is 100% Serge.
ReplyDeleteWith some reverb.

oh jeez, not the 'musical' comment! just because you haven't heard anything YOU'D consider 'musical' doesn't mean it's not capable of 'music'. Serge is 100% pure 'music' to MY ears, though...
ReplyDeleteIt's a modular.
ReplyDeleteYou can do "blips and bloops" or a nice fat chromatic lead line...
