ReplyDeleteMaybe by his next video he'll learn how to program, and actually do this thing some justice.
In all fairness, presets are interesting in that the manufacturer decided to go with them. I have always wondered what the criterion were for them though. It always seemed like there there were a set of certain emulations you had to cover. I always wondered what defined them and who in general actually made the call.
ReplyDeleteI like programming my synths, of course, but I'm always very interested in the presets of older synths. I thinks it's interesting to hear the manufacturers' best efforts at showing off their instruments.
ReplyDeleteMy jupiter 6 lost its presets when the battery died... It was horrible! you had to start from scratch on every sound, I could do it but my friends got tired of that quickly.... Once I added the Europa, I copied the factory presets back into memory (this is a europa feature)... Now this is the premiere keyboard for messing around, quickly jumping from this to that...
