This thing, which has what have to rank among the ugliest "custom" wood sides in the anal of history [sic], has appeared on ebay and been sold about once every year or two. Amazing that this single unit passes through so many hands, while other Q+'s are far rarer on the market.

I think this unit actually originated in chicago. I remember it being sold back a few years ago, along with the damaged original panels. Nice sounding synth though, I thoroughly enjoy mine.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to come out of the closet as someone who hates wood end panels. Having an actual vintage synth that was originally built out of wood is one thing, but it just seems phony to me when added to a modern synth. And it dings way too easily. Jupiter-esque or Q-esque metal for me, please!
