  1. i'm lucky enough to have a FVS-1, problem is i have a faulty polyphonic keyboard module that affects the correct triggering via the keyboard. i've been running a kenton pro solo into the gate/cv inputs but can only use one SEM. so i'm sitting on a four voice that i can only use 1 voice on. question for you all - if you were me, would you rather modular-ize it like this, or try and have the triggering issues fixed? i'm torn...

  2. Since you got a FVS-1 i would propose you should sort out the issues AND while it is at the repair guy to have them run additional CV/gate in's for the individual SEMS. For those folks out there with just a Oberheim SEM Module, i would really prefer the modularized variant.

  3. Keep the keyboard intact for triggering your 4 Voice. I would just have a modded breakout box to handle triggering of CV and Gate on all SEMs.Then have a Switch on the breakout box that disables the CV/GATE from External breakout box so you can dial up patches from the front Keyboard. If you have CV and Gate cords plugged into the SEM's you won't be able to trigger them from the keyboard.

Getting your keyboard triggering fixed shouldn't be a big issue since these are very easy to trouble shoot.
