Z3000 Production Update

just posted on the Tiptop Audio Blog: "We've been working around the clock... Burning the midnight oil... Applying copious amounts of elbow grease... Whatever you want to call it, we've been doing it. All to get the Z3000 out the door. The first batch is being assembled as this post goes up and needless to say we are extremely excited.

We hope to have the first batch available by the end of this month or very early next month. More importantly, this first batch is fairly limited, so if you want one keep an eye on the site for launch and distributor announcements!"

You might remember the Z3000 from these posts. Note the updated graphic.

  1. yes I remember it from those other posts because they say next to nothing in terms of details other than it's some sort of digital oscillator. This one adds "elbow grease", "early next month", "fairly limited" whatever those mean.

  2. A teaser needs a little more info to tease or a more established reputation. This isn't a tease, it's just annoying.

  3. oh you two. :) it won't be long now.

  4. yeah lame and irritating, if you want to wait until it's shipping to release details that's fine, but this crap is just a negative for it... I'm losing interest now. You need to provide some details instead of assuming the user must be blindly excited about any new module... pretty insulting. Stupid games... No longer interested.

  6. + one on the "lame and irritating"... speaking for myself, this kind of thing leaves a real negative impression, and makes me LESS likely to do business with the perpetrators.

  7. yeah i have to say this is just slightly irritating, i'm not going to defer a purchase on the offchance that this slightly drongoish behaviour is actually about a good product. doepfer discuss their development online, take user polls etc, it's a really good model, and cool rather than some PR guys idea of a way to get peoples' interest.

  8. Perhaps a chill pill would work all around. It's just a synth module folks, and a modular one that'll sell somewhere in the dozens - no-one's going to get rich on either end with this. Some more details would be nice, but won't make much of a difference whether I buy one or not.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
