"Just a quick show of my arp 2600 grey meanie which is super rare playing a simple sequence via the arp 1601 sequencer. Enjoy!"

  1. For anyone who might be wondering why this version is called the "grey meanie", it got named that by the techs who had to work on it. At least some of these early grey-paneled ones had most of their electronics potted, making them difficult to service.

  2. Aren't the grey ones the most common? I've seen lots of grey's but only two black and orange...

  3. for those who care, the grey meanie was a very rare version of the 2600
enclosed in a all metal case like the original blue meanie 2600, only a handful were ever made, because a 2600 is grey, some people think it must be a grey meanie, not true.

  4. The only ones that are the "grey meanie" (after the blue marvin)are the ones with the wood handle on top, at least most of the rest of the series in grey also had potted modules, maybe even some modules into the orange black versions(?)
