  1. One of my favorites...
..and one of the reasons I keep a PC in the studio.

  2. It doesn't sound analog to me -- always sounded digital.

  3. I was a fan, back when I had a PC. Didn't know these guys were still around.

  4. (not that digital is bad in any way)

  5. Martin's up to 3.04 actually ;-)

And it sounds great without using a ton of CPU; you could get a cheap used computer on ebay and dedicate it to vazmod and have more bang for your buck than with nearly any other hardware/software combo...

Very good point. A friend of mine recently showed me VAZ on his laptop. It sounds pretty damn good and the fact that you can route anything to modulate ANYTHING ELSE made for some crazy sounds. If you are looking for a good Synth Brass sounds then get a Casio...

  8. How does this stack up to the Nord Mod G1?

  9. I used to love playing with vaz, back when I used a pc - wondr if it runs well in fusion/xp on my macbook. And its limitations were one of the factors in getting me started building my own synth modules - as great as vaz is, it's not even close in any way to the real thing.

  11. VAZ modular was one of the first soft-synths that I had ever used and I was really impressed with it's capabilities. Sure, it didn't sound very analog-ish, but it had a very warm quality all it's own. I haven't used it since 2001 so I can only imagine what sort of updates they've made to it since.
