I don't know how a bunch of synth heads feel about these arranger keyboards, but COME ON!!!! That clarinet demo was AMAZING!!!!! I think that physical modeling may have the edge in expressiveness when you are comparing it to a normal multi-sampled instrument (3-5 samples), but 400 samples! You've got enough dynamic range to here the spit valve open for each note :)

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen innovation in standard synths for a while, but I do see it in the Arranger keyboards.
