to be Announced at Winter Music Conference
Cumberland, R.I. (March 12, 2009) – Akai Professional, the name synonymous with music production, announces that the MPK49 performance controller has been nominated for an International Dance Music Award.
The MPK49, nominated as the Best Keyboard or Sampler, is a category defining musical instrument for DJs, keyboard players, producers and other music creators. It marries Akai Professional’s exclusive MPC pads and assignable Q-Link controllers with a 49-key keybed and some key MPC technologies. The MIDI-over-USB controller contains an arpeggiator, MPC Note Repeat and MPC Swing for the creative sequencing feel that has made Akai Professional’s MPC series so important to music production.
The 24th Annual International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) will be presented on March 26, 2009, at the Winter Music Conference in Miami Beach, Fla. The IDMA is the premier awards show for the dance and electronic music industry worldwide. DJs and producers cast their ballots for the most pioneering and elite artists, technology and professionals in the dance-music business.
“The MPK49 has been tremendously successful,” said Adam Cohen, Director of Business Development, Akai Professional. “We are proud to be nominated for this award.”"
