"You are bidding on a lovingly cared for orange and black face ARP Axxe synthesizer model 2323 in excellent 'collector' condition. These units were the final ones to be produced by ARP from about 1978 up through ARP's demise in 1981. It is a monophonic analog synth with one voltage controlled oscillator, permitting one note playablility at a time. Excellent for solo leads or bass synth lines. This specific unit works 100% and has no broken slider control posts. All keys are level and accurate (not common for ARP's of this vintage) and all color coded knobs are in their correct locations according to the manufacturer's specifications and slider's function. There are some slider controls that 'stick' while moving them, but work fine using the proper care. This was also common even for brand new units in the day. I know...I was there. Also included in this auction is an additional ARP Axxe model 2321(earlier in the orange & blackface production), which I have used over the years to access replacement parts whenever needed on the 2323. This 'parts unit' has the classic wooden sides, as opposed to the final production 2323's (and ARP Odyssey's) which were produced with tanned leather sides in order to reduce original production costs and provide improved durability."
Interesting note regarding the sticky sliders when new. No mention if the bag contains crack.
