Cool. Is the faceplate leather too? And how does it hold up being white?

Speaker looks like a KRK Rokit. Probably an RP8, judging from the scale.

Yeah, another being's processed skin makes this so much cooler...
ReplyDeleteThe faceplate is indeed leather. cutting 128 rounded edge squares with an exacto knife was a bit of a challenge, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have a bucket of patience.
ReplyDeleteThe idea was born from not being able to afford an aliminium face plate, so I made one from wood, and faced it with leather, it's easy to keep clean by using alcohol and q-tips.
