"In short, this is a micro-controller based module that offers you the ability to program it"
via SynthModules.com
"The SynthModules PSIM-1 by Brice D. Hornback, is a unique module unlike anything ever available before for your analog modular synthesizer. It is fully compatible with Blacet, PAiA, and the Wiard 1200 series modules. The heart of this module is a powerful miniature computer (microcontroller) that processes 100,000 instructions per second. It is programmed with your Windows based PC in a simple and easy to learn form of BASIC."
What's the 422 serial port for? Machine control?
ReplyDeleteI cut the quote off too short. I added this to the post: "It is programmed with your Windows based PC in a simple and easy to learn form of BASIC."
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that's how you program it. There's more info at the PSIM-1 link.
Awesome module with a lot of potential, I would love to see some more comments about this one!
ReplyDeleteI never got mine, I was one of the guy who got screwed out of his money by the manufacturer. It's a pity, it looks like a great little unit. Def very rare, I'm damn sure there'll never be any more of them.
ReplyDeleteYhea I got shafted by Brice From Synthmodules also. I've been waiting since 2004 for my fully paid for unit. Well Karma is a bitch Brice.
