  1. For that price I'd expect NOT a wallwart. Why are we getting those ever so often? Saves money for the factory, electrical reasons, or perhaps they're working together with manufacturers of multi-power plug devices?

  2. With a wall-wart, they can make one synth for a standard DC voltage/current and just box the required wall adapter depending on where they are being shipped. Because everyone uses different AC voltage schemes (and plug designs), this makes sense. This also means that when you find that rare synth you always wanted on e-bay and have it shipped from another continent you can be sure that you will be able to find a power adapter for it.
