This is awful, awful news. He was a tireless, enthusiastic worker and a really nice guy. My condolences to his family and many friends.
ReplyDeleteWow, a real loss.
ReplyDeleteCan'te believe it. I know Tim since my Atari times and was glad to meet him at NAMM.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best...... He worked so hard to support a community of Atarians that were able to keep making music because of his efforts to free up software for our use. He was a great musician and wrote many enjoyable pieces for all to appreciate and to see what can be done with the software.
ReplyDeleteI had many email chats with him over the years and kinda lost touch after I got into the Mac world. I would go by his website to check out what he was doing occasionally and he would never disappoint me as there would always be a new tune that he had written and posted. Only the good die young..... RIP Tim. You will be missed.
Apart from being active on the Atari community, he is probably the most famouse preset maker in the VST community, lots of top payware and freeware plugins had his presets, and believe me, his sounds were in a league of its own...
ReplyDeleteYou'll be missed, Tim!
rip to a great guy who was as generous with his time as he was creative.. a truly sad loss for the entire online community. My thoughts go out to his family.
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel so sorry... Tim made me discover the wonderful world of Atari thanks to his invaluable website. May he rest in peace in 8-bit heaven
