4ms Pedals Stereo Panneur

via Edward. Note this is for sale.
"This is a very special version of the 4ms Stero Panneur, which has been specially customized so that, in addition to its ordinary functioning, it can also be used as an external triple-LFO module for use with analog modular synthesizers or any other devices that accept LFO inputs for modulation.

Info on the Stereo Panneur can be found here (blue panner image src)

As an effect, this box is an analog stereo panner and tremolo effect, with independently controlled left and right channels, and stereo inputs and outputs. The full description of its controls is below. Its effect components can be used to produce 2 independent mono tremolos, a stereo panner bouncing a mono signal from left to right, or a true stereo tremolo or pan effect.

And now here's the SPECIAL part. It is also a triple LFO, with three special outputs that send out modified versions of the internal LFO signals used to control the effects. These special outputs, located on the side of the box (visible in image 4 below), emit signals that work within the range required modular synthesizer oscillators for modulation. They can thus be plugged directly into any of the modulation inputs on a synth, and controlled via both the synth's Level controls and the various controls on the 4ms box. This is a great way of expanding your modulation options, and the fact that the same box controls both modulation and external effects processing provides for multiple possibilities for interesting effects and sounds.

The box is in perfect functional order. Cosmetically, its red-and-black paintjob has some dings at the corners but otherwise this looks and sounds great, and works perfectly.

Here are images of the device. My apologies for the lousy quality of my camera:

The two rows of knobs on the left side of the box are to control the two main LFOs. Each LFO also gets a blinking indicator light. The knobs across, from left to right, are:

Speed
Smoothness (blends the waveshape between square and triangle)
Depth
Spacing (which sets the center of the stereo panning to provide unique
assymetrical effects)

The set of three knobs at the top right of the box are used to control the depth of the independent LFO outputs for output to synthesizer modules. These work separately from the Depth knobs that are used to control the application of the LFOs to the effect outputs, so that you can have a really intense panning or tremolo effect while
simultaneously using the LFOs to control a synth's oscillators in more subtle ways (or vice versa of course).

The row of four switches below that are:
Rate 2x (multiply the settings of the Speed knobs by 2)
Ramp-Up (change the wave shape to a ramp-up sawtooth)
Trem/Pan (changes the output effect between tremolo and panning)
Sync (the right LFO can be synced to the settings of the left one)

Below this are the controls for the auxiliary third LFO, which can be used to modulate the speed of the left LFO. It has Speed and Depth knobs, and an On/Off switch to stop it from modulating the left LFO. However, even when it is set off, it can still be used as a third LFO with simple settings, with a raw output for synth use.

Finally, there's a stomp switch which turns the effect on and off, but does not affect the synth LFO outputs -- those can effectively be turned "off" by setting the output depths to 0.

I am selling this one-of-a-kind box for $720, which includes postage if you live in the US. I will ship abroad but will have to calculate what the postage will be before giving a final price. Please contact me with any questions or if you are interested: sevenarts gmail.com"
