  4. The plastic sheathing on most cables contains lead. Lead is a very deadly poison that can harm reproductive systems and the brain. Don't let your baby chew on those cables, unless you don't him/her growing up to be too dumb to unnerstan the Buchla.

  5. One person's 'cute', is another's conniption...I'm not a buchla user or aficionado, but I bet the sight of an infant toying with that very coveted instrument, is going to cause somebody out there some discomfort...but someone knew that, of course ;)

  6. Aye, and there's a broader point to be made.

To the parents of the small human in the photos, said small human is the epitome of their hopes and dreams for the future, their gateway to immortality, the most precious object on their horizon, the stuff of dreams. This is exactly as it should be, and there'd be something deeply wrong otherwise.

To the rest of us, it's yet another incoherent loud smelly animal that looks like Winston Churchill, and won't even begin to be capable of cuteness for the next 15 years.

Please consider that before sharing the family album too widely. Thank you.

  8. @Gwenhwyfaer:

    ...reading subject's BIOS
    ...BIOS version 1D10T
    ...UPGRADE status - E.O.L.
    ...discontinued component
FAIL TO UPGRADE BIOS. BIOS LEFT AT VERSION 1D10T. ABORT, RETRY, FAIL?

You seem to be a walking contradiction - I bet you're way past 15 but I sense no sign of cuteness in you. Perhaps you should consider joining a gym, making some friends, taking some cyanide?

Shame your parents didn't follow your own logic - most of us would be spared your drivel. Consider withholding it next time, kthxbye.

  9. Getting a little harsh here people.
The picture shows joy, the little one's as well as the unseen joy of the parents. Not my child but I can still smile at it.... The buchla, as valuable as it might be, can't compare.
