"It is roughly the size of a jupiter 8 but much lighter, It consists of four
sections that can be mixed together or played independently. These consist of
bass, which can either be a string bass or synth bass, synth bass having basic
filtering, you can get either plucky bass or wide fat bass by combining these in
different ways. next is strings, which is very similar to an arp solina,
although not quite identical, it is very close, and not at all like arp omni
strings as some people have said. The polysynth section is probably taken from
an arp omni, but that's okay because it sounds really good even though its not
true poly, and it has the nice arp 4075 filter. Finally the mono synth section
is a two voice synth, which sounds like a newer odyssey, you set the tuning
interval by pressing an interval button and pressing the key you want to
transpose the pitch to, it works well and is faster than trying to tune with a
slider.
The mono synth also has some other nice featues, like a latching arpeggiator and
independent glide controls, and a unique envelope. The patch memory is a bit
weird, but it is useful, you can turn on and off sections as part of a patch as
well as the routing, as in which parts are going to the phaser or not. Everybody
talks about how great the phaser is on these things and it definitely is all the
hype and then some, it is incredible, its more of a combination of flanging and
phasing. the only thing i've heard i can compare it to is the obscure
tau pipe phaser"
