"Does anybody know anything about these people? I was told, maybe erroneously, that they used to be involved in the manufacture of synths but what synths and to what extent I don't know... I can't seem to find anything about them on t'internet... any suggestions?"

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

Wasn't there a SCI FX rack? By judging from the few labels I could read, these are FX units.

ReplyDeleteI don't see enough similarities between these two things to think they might be the same. Unless the items from the facebook page are prototypes, but still they aren't very close.
ReplyDeleteit's an effect rack for sure,a kind of modular one (you can choose what effect to put in ) ..look at the upper right on each modules the brand is here but i can't read it.:(
ReplyDeletelooks interesting tho
they are not from sequential that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some kind of modular fx stuff like comressors, eq etc, like dbx 900 or api 500 series.
ReplyDeleteThese were 'kits' originally published in 'Home & Studio Recording' magazine in UK circa 1988 - mic pre-amps, compressor/limiter, sampler, noise filter, parametric EQ, aural exciter etc. I built several of them. They were good, as I recall.
