"Up for sale is what many consider the holy grail of bass synth pedals - the Akai Deep Impact. If you're looking at this auction you probably already know all about the pedal, but here are some details. Nine synth types are available, and they can be saved to one of nine preset locations. Very tweakable, great fat synth sounds."
I don't believe I've ever posted one of these before. If anyone has any experience with with them, feel free to comment.
Sold For: GBP 410.00
I bought mine on a $99 blow out and have seen them go for five times that since then. They truly are better tracking (pretty forgiving actually) and better sounding than any other bass synth pedal ever. I bought a PedalTrain board with hardcase because the DP is that good and so damn expensive to replace.
ReplyDeleteI would have to argue that the best tracking on a bass synth pedal would have to be the EHX Microsynth. There is no DSP involved so it is just analog goodness (Octave, filter, square wave distortion).
ReplyDeleteI remember playing the Akai and it was really nice. It defiantly did track better than the boss Syb-3. I missed getting one in Japan when they were still affordable.
definitely
