Alicia Keys in the Studio
YouTube via OriceJenkins. via Ian C
Some synth spotting with Alicia Keys. Cool to see she still has her Jupiter-8
"a video message from Alicia explaining how happy she is to be back in the studio and with her vast array of keyboards!"

This is not a CR-78 she's using ... oops sorry lady !
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's right! Where's the Yamaha Jupiter-8?? It's over there, next to the Fender Les Paul...LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteSooooo does she actually know how to engineer music and use those keyboards? Or is it presets all the way?
ReplyDeletethis video gave me wood.
ReplyDeletekingsteven & alan are king and queen douchebag
ReplyDeleteinfinitely annoying
ReplyDeleteWhy so negative? People being excited about synthesizers is what this blog is all about, right?
ReplyDeleteI think we can all agree that one of the biggest pop stars out there working with and being inspired by analog synths is a *good thing*.
Sooooo does she actually know how to engineer music and use those keyboards? Or is it presets all the way?
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't strike me as a highly skilled engineer or synth programmer, no.
But she certainly does know how to "use those keyboards" (as in, hitting those skinny black and white things below all the pretty knobs and lights) to make music.
I think they call people like that "musicians" or something.
It must be really bright in there.
ReplyDeleteMy point is that she may jsut be a waste of a Jupiter 8. Those things are rare.
ReplyDeleteProbably weighs more than her.
ReplyDeletedamm haters...
ReplyDeleteSomeone get that gal an M-1 in that rig. And some NI VSTi's. Sure she'd sure as shit do some sick stuff with her PLAYING.
I'm sure the yammy jupiter would have something to do with her being obligated to do it cause of an endorsement probably.
