Star Instruments Synare PS-1 Analog Drum Synthesizer
YouTube via moogplayer.
via this auction
"Rare Synare PS-1 4 pad, 12 zone percussion synthesizer built around 1977-78. I am a Synare fan and have owned several units. In my 15 years of collecting these I have not seen or found one in better shape than this unit. I bought it new old stock from a music store that closed about 3-4 years back. Filmed on an iPhone using the built-in mic, so sound quality is much better via DI or though an amp. I hate to sell it, but need the $$$ (and rarely use it, as it's really a museum piece)..."

Update via bobketchum90 in the comments: "I got one of the very 1st models of this synth. I produced the audio demo for Star Instruments and they gave me one of the 1st Synares (SN 0097). I used it on an album project in 1977. The company gave me instructions on how to add a pedal that would raise/lower pitch and shorten or lengthen the envelope."
