via this auction"Filter sweeps are liquid, and the real sound of the oscs come through and the minimoog filter is exquisite. There are really some terrific sounds in here and unlimited mod routings, panning, multitimbral combinations, etc. The sound, to me, is actually better than that of the xpander, probably due to THE DISCRETE ANALOG VOLTAGE CONTROLLED FILTERS designed by Don Buchla! There are actually real transistors in the filter circuit, modelled exactly after the moog 24 db lowpass transistor-ladder filter. The OB filter is a little different souding than the original SEM filter, but still the "state-variable" design and quite unique. You can mix the levels of lowpass, bandpass, and highpass simultaneously, and alongside the moog filter, too if you wish. Use the EG for the sweep and hear the natural change through the three types..Phenomenal.. Summing up, this synth is amazing, and just as rare- 500 (or so) made in 1994/95."
