via this auction"The 1970s were a formative period for music in that those years introduced electronic music to the general public in entirely new ways with extraordinary instruments. ARP and MOOG competed in the synth market. The popularity of the MINIMOOG and ARP ODYSSEY were astounding. To increase affordability, both made ever-so slightly simpler instruments, the MICROMOOG and SOLUS.
The SOLUS has: 3 Octave Manual, with that all-important Portamento, or Glide control, 2 Fat VCOs, ADSR Envelope Generator, LFO, Full Complement of voltage control ins and outs, and MORE. My favourite: ADSR PWM for a richly, seemingly random ever-changing quality to the overtones."
