To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

im as guilty as the next person for modding one of my 606's but it has to stop somewhere, this saddens me.
ReplyDeleteThere are finite number of these classics left. All these old Roland boxes are built pretty cheap, and the moment someone mods them, they are destroying them. What if you change your mind after you hacked the panel, or damage the PCB? You cant just go buy a new case somewhere. If you must mod one, put the mods in another box and use a ribbon cable to connect it to the main box. The whole circuit bent scene is destroying cool old gear, and it's a shame.
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is just stupid. Hey benders, stop ruining all this classic gear. Stick to pawn shop kiddie toys!
