Additional NOISEBUG Listings

"Here we have a custom circuit bent Texas Instruments Speak & Spell.

Operates as a totally normal speak and spell until you flip a glitch switch or turn a dial, etc.

Very fun to play, no right or wrong way to it, this bent talking synth is capable of tons of new sounds for you to record, sample or play live.

The added mods include:

1) Tone Oscillator button-creates a tone when depressed, the tone can then be manipulated with the theremin pitch cell, pitch dial or pitch body contacts.

2) Active Matrix Glitch-This mod opens up the membrane for random glitching dependent on where you touch the pad.

3) Ramble Glitch-Flip this switch and hit go and it will spew constant ramblings on and on and on and on.........

4) Dual voice glitch- causes it so speak In both a high and low voice at the same time.

5) Pitch Changing Body Contact-Touch this to lower the pitch, the harder you touch the further the change.

6) Pitch Changing Knob-Use this pitch control to change the pitch from incredibly high falsetto to super low, 8-Bit crushing growl.

7) Reset Button-Use this when you're ready for a change and the machine is rambling on its own, also serves as an OFF button.

8) Theremin Opto Cell Controller-Simply flip the switch, use the pitch dial to fine tune and you can play any sound emitting from the speak like a theremin, makes for some great effects.

9) Loop Switch with Advance Button-FLip this switch at any time to catch a sound that you can then mold and play with the other controls such as the opto cell and pitch dial.

10) Strobing LED for cool effect

It now features a 1/4" output jack that mutes the onboard speaker, allowing you can output this into your effects, amp, pa, etc.

These mods add tons of versatility and droning textures for your playing, recording and experimenting pleasure."

Isla Instruments Rhythm Imposer A/S

via this Vemia listing

Click the auction link on top when you get there for additional listings.

"This is a heavily modified and circuit bent Alesis HR 16. The basic idea is that you can change the eproms and then mangle the sounds into oblivion by way of the knobs and switches which create all sorts of unpredictable and fairly brutal noises. The result can be anything from utter industrial magic to unusable garbage. Comes with a number of eproms incl. Korg, Linn DMX, Roland The machine is very unstable. Sometimes it works sometimes it just doesn’t. I have no idea how to make it more stable and when it comes on and produces sound, it’s absolutely random and unpredictable. The best way to think about this is as a sample source in that you have a tape running all the time and then pick and choose the best noises that come out of it. The great thing is that you would never ever come up with these sounds if you were to program them in a targeted and controlled manner. But on the other hand, it’s of course frustrating when it doesn’t come on at all. The starting bid is set accordingly. The buyer may wish to have a technician take a look at it."

Casio SK100 1986 8-Bit Sampler + Patch Bay & Pitch Mod

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by Canned Sound

via this Reverb listing

"Rare 1986 Casio SK-100 8-bit sampling keyboard custom modified with a 25 point modulation patch bay and pitch control section mounted on a metallic graphite externally attached console with a unique solid aluminium 1970s Hitachi 'wedge' knob. This is a weird, unpredictable, lo-fi and chaotic sampling instrument with a warm gritty sound which will inspire any alternative electronic musician and sound designer.

When the patch matrix is in use an array of warped effects, drones and loops can be generated; applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex range of cyclic, pitch dropped, fractured, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing digital noise and bizarre sequences which affect any sound you record using the sampling feature. The pitch mod takes the sound up in pitch and down to crushing aliasing lows, also affecting the SK 100's pre-set sounds. Five stackable patch cables included.

Specs:
-25 point ROM modulation patch bay
-Pitch control function
-5 different dynamic envelopes can be applied to your samples (a long and short sample can be recorded and stored).
-Loop and reverse effects.
-The samples can be featured in the tempo adjustable onboard rhythm sequences.
-12 preset sounds
-12 preset rhythms
-Chord memory
-7 keyboard-based drum sounds"

Yamaha DD6 1989 Circuit Bent Drum Machine + Joystick Controller

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by Canned Sound

via this Reverb listing

"Yamaha DD-6 1989 drum machine featuring a 17-point modulation patch bay and pitch controller. The unit also includes an externally connected joystick module for manual activation of four additional modulation effects which are also combined on the diagonal axes for further processing options. Two latching/ momentary pre-set effect switches are also featured on this unit.

These custom modifications unlock an array of original sounds and rhythmic variations; making a single connection on the patch matrix can dramatically alter the output but applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex, sometimes aleatoric range of reversed, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing and delayed sounds, additional accents, rhythmic patterns and digital noise. Additionally, the five included patch cables can be stacked for further sonic manipulation.

The patch bay and joystick affect the 100 tempo adjustable onboard rhythms and the velocity sensitive drum pads. The unit functions as normal when the patch bay is not implemented.

Mains (9- 12v DC) and battery powered (6 x AA), features a 1/4" output, no onboard speaker.

Dimensions: 42cm (L) x 27cm (W) x 12cm (H)."

"Rare 1998 MIDI drum machine uniquely modified to massively extend the sound design possibilities with three pre-set effects switches and a custom 25 point modulation patch bay. These modifications generate an array of original sounds, effects and rhythmic variations. Making a single connection on the patch matrix can dramatically alter the output but applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex, sometimes aleatoric range of grinding, metallic, fractured, reversed, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing and delayed effects, arcade sounds and digital noise, alternative rhythmic patterns and additional accents. The five included patch cables can also be stacked for further sonic manipulation.
The unit functions as normal when the patch is not in use.

MIDI In, Out.
7 velocity sensitive drum pads.
75 sounds, 20 drum kits.

CREATOY TRAIN

video upload by NOYSTOISE

"heavily modified and circuit bent Creatoy musical train toy from 1995.
for more info, visit www.noystoise.com"

via NOYSTOISE

"I found these two on Ebay in early November of 2024. They are somewhat generic looking train keyboards by the brand Creatoy from 1995. Many toys made by Creatoy from this era, and similar toys like them have a special place for me. As a child of the late eighties and early nineties, I would see a lot of these lesser known toys at friends' houses, and school growing up. At the time, it seemed like there was no shortage of these off-brand obnoxious toys everywhere. Now they seem to be harder to find. When I have a little extra cash, I love to scour Ebay for these types of forgotten relics."

Alienized circuits AL-110 mk2 - modded Boss DR-110

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this listing

"Great modded rhythm machine that gets some great sounds and beats that you can’t get from a regular Boss DR-110. Plugged it in to my guitar amp and phono jack and worked nicely. The only thing I can tell is a bit wonky is the power switch. There has been a few times I turned it on and it glitches but goes back when I turn it off and on again."
