Excellent idea!
ReplyDeleteMy likelihood of buying them is completely in proportion to how many of the parameters are wired for control voltage. Stick the guts of a pedal behind a faceplate and I'll pass. Add plenty of voltage control and have them operate at modular signal levels and I'll be sure to get them.
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to have a few more choices on the first poll, maybe something along the lines of "I'm interested and would like to have a lot more info on them."
ReplyDeleteAlso, I see that a large percentage of us MMM owners have already checked in on the second poll!
banana jacks!
ReplyDeletesorry.. just had to say that.
My guess is, if this got pushed through EH someone would get fired. EH is custom to moving thousands if pedals yearly. And the modular synth market is MUCH too small, they would be lucky to move 100 euro modules of a particular design within a year. Certainly not worth the investment R&D and production for a company that size. That's why most euro "companies" are one guy in his kitchen building modules...and barely getting by.
ReplyDeleteThe Flanger Hoax would be awesome in module form with Control Voltage!
ReplyDeleteAs long as their first module was not a Big Muff.
ReplyDeleteI agree there's a very small market compared to guitar pedal users but, a company with a well known name making Euro modules would alert an enormous audience to this format.
What if guitar pedal users became interested?
ReplyDeleteI think their first module, or at least one that should launch with the first batch, should be a guitar interface module. Sure, there are several envelope follower/gate modules out there already, but if EH has their own, it will help comfortably lead guitarists down the path of ultimate financial and social destruction . . . I mean . . . GLORY . . that is the result of developing a modular addiction! ;-)
ReplyDeletesad!
ReplyDeletei hope they don't soil the modular market with their lame smt designs.
ehx is a shadow of it's former self.
I'd love a small stone phaser module.
ReplyDeletei would kill for this.
ReplyDeletewow. think they just sold a ring thing. Like my Frequency Analyzer/ Bet Id love this thing.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a tempo sync Small Stone phaser module or pedal!
