Korg M500SP Micropreset OMD synth lines
YouTube via daviddonohoe
"Quick demonstration of some of the sounds from the Korg M500SP Micropreset heavily used as main lead synth by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. A strange little monophonic preset synth, with a similar filter to the MS series. Very limited in actual synthesis capabilities, but has a fantastic tone and is great fun to play!
Almost / Electricity / Messages / Enola Gay / Telegraph / Souvenir"

"Some noodlings on the Korg M500SP Micropreset. A strange little monophonic preset synth, with a similar filter to the MS series. Very limited in actual synthesis capabilities, but has a fantastic tone and is great fun to play. Here I'm having tremendous fun with the filter, lfo and portamento, not to mention the keys and voice selection buttons!"

Nice little demo there. It's funny looking back when I was a kid I always thought they were composed on something more advanced. Just goes to show a little bit of talent can go a long way on a fairly limited instrument like that.
