this thing is wonderful!
ReplyDeletethe filter is all analog!
very nice!
I told my girlfriend that this was my favorite toy ever when I was a little kid. for our 3 year anniversary she picked one up on eBay for me. It was an emotional purchase so she ended up bidding up to what I think was too much for and old toy, albeit one of the coolest "toys" ever.
ReplyDeleteWe were very sad to find out when I opened it to give it a go that it suffered from the same issue mine did as a kid. The white keys don't play correctly. They play, but VERY quietly. I read above that this beast has twin audio amplifiers, so my guess is that one of them went bad.
I really want get playing on this baby, and to help make her purchase worth while, so... Do you have any ideas about the issue I'm having? Possible fixes? Other resources that might have info for me? Great synth mod site where I might be able to find a thread with someone talking their HotKeyz mod with an random comment about this issue. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Please email me at brian@briancassidydesign.com with anything that might point me in the right direction. Thanks!
