Eigenlabs seems like a cold company to me with their marketing techniques, constant use of the same key features, and their demo methods (presenter and performer duo). Doesn't seem like a friendly/affordable product to me for these reasons. Not to mention I've never seen any amazing or groundbreaking performances from any demo videos...maybe it's just not for me though.
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts too. Why oh WHY do they insist on showing us things that put most musicians off ? They have a so called 'expressive clarinet' WHAT ? not a good core sound, played like a sax player with totally unrealistic bends and playing styles utterly shit !
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to do what they really need to be doing and that is show us the main harp being played as a solo instrument by an experienced musician, something that really shows what a unique instrument this is meant to be....BUT without tacky gimmicks like drum riffs and pre made loops. Just a pure simple tone and a piece of music that shows what the instrument is capable of.?
I just can't believe that Eigen have invested so much money in developing this instrument which seem pretty unique but then and totally blow it with a badly thought out demonstration and bad performance.
People in a position to pay £4,000 for this instrument will not be interested in gimmicks but want to see whether the thing can really be played like a real instrument.
Grrrrr ! ! ! Again and again ! !
