Obviously he/she cares nothing about the synth - putting those delicate mylar panel switches under the hot sun is just idiotic.
ReplyDeleteThe seller is asking for $4,400! If he/she gets it, then this whole vintage synth thing is out of hand. This synth had a reputation for not being reliable when it was new. Thirty years later, if you find one that works, don't count on it working for long. It's rare because besides being unreliable, the competition, Prophets, Oberheims, etc were simply more useful and (with exceptions) sounded better. If you're a player, do yourself a favor and leave this one for the pure collectors out there. If you have $4,400, get yourself a Motif or a Fantom and a Minimoog
