Acid IMP - Basslines on the Machinedrum

YouTube via Catabolicdj — June 03, 2010 — "The GND IMP machine on the Machinedrum does more than snap, crackle, pop - it does basslines. Won't sound exactly like a 303 but you can get some great sounds nonetheless."

Machinedrum goes industrial (+samples)

"Catabolicdj — June 04, 2010 — Not just an IDM machine, the Machinedrum can do much more. Here the MD gets some industrial treatment. Free samples info at the end.

This started out as a challenge project - to build a drumkit from only the simplest machines. I especially wanted to see if I could get more sounds out of GND-IMP, which is rarely used solo. I ended up being able to do most of the kit with GND-IMP.

Thanks to all of the people who watched the previous version of this video without the subtitles."

  1. there are easier ways of getting bassline-like sounds out the machinedrum.. especially w/the UW option.. you can just load a little sample. you can also use the E12 machine and by messing w/the retrig parameter and filter make all kinds of squidgy twitchy sounds.
