QuadBass++ drum trigger experiment

YouTube via bchris1776 — June 12, 2010 — "Proof of concept test #1...
Found this "Leapfrog Alphabet Drum" at a garage sale for $2...thought I might use it as a drum trigger for my Thomas Henry "Quad Bass++". This is the first experiment...
Wired a jack straight to the Piezo element under the drum head. Added a switch to mute the internal audio from the toy drum.
It powers down after not being used for about 30 seconds...does not affect the drum trigger I'm using, merely shuts off the internals (LED's and audio) which is a good thing. Might have to condition the triggering a little - as it is pretty sensitive to other vibrations.
Otherwise - It looks like it'll work."
