Simmons SDSV sound and filter demo

YouTube via simmonsmuseum | May 30, 2009

"The Simmons SDSV is supposed to be the mother of all electronic drums as it has been the first one that had been produced in a noticable number (between 1981 and 1984). The characteristic hexagonal shaped drum pads conquered the stages all over the world at the beginning of the 80s. This movie gives you a slight impression about the capabilities of the SDSV"

Simmons SDSV feat. Mark III pads and analog HiHat

simmonsmuseum | November 13, 2009

"Originally I wanted to record an SDS7 demo, but as some of you might have experienced yourself, the old lady is sometimes a moody diva.... However it's always favourable to have a stack of SDSV brains in spare and I wanted to record something new.
The crashy white noise sound is a replica of the analog HiHat module which came with the very first Musicaid SDSV brains but has been replaced by a digital later after Musicaid turned into 'Simmons Electronic Drums'."

Simmons SDSV Demo - Deja Vu/Spliff

simmonsmuseum | May 17, 2009

"This song is a (self-arranged and recorded) playalong version of Germany's 80's rock band Spliff with one of their best songs ever called "Deja Vu". All instruments are played and sung by myself although you can only see me drumming"
