Awesome synth, and awesome design. I've always wanted one of the black ones. (...assuming I couldn't have a shadow Wave, that is.)
ReplyDeleteFrom the auction: "I believe the story behind this VERY limited edition instrument is that Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails wanted a black XT to perform with on stage since it would stand out much less than an orange one."
ReplyDeleteTheNine Inch Nail special run were 3 (three) black Waldorf XTks. The Black XTs were a special series originally for the then big german synth seller Synthesizerstudio Bonn - Matten & Wiechers from the former West Germany capital Bonn.
There are 2 shadow XTks
ReplyDeleteLeave it to a Matrix Synth-er to know the real story behind the instrument. Thanks for posting! It sold within an hour of this going up. ;)
