This is Klaus Schulze, taken from his "Live" album 1979. I believe this was one of the photos from the poster that came with the album.
ReplyDeleteThis picture was not only part of the poster, but also the front cover of the LP and later CD.
ReplyDeleteThe two little tom-toms are a Pearl electronic drum kit Klaus used then to play sounds. It is believed (I was not in those early concerts), that these also triggered some very, very basic laser light beams as visual effect.
According to Klaus' long time friend and kind of manager Klaus-Dieter Müller, the big mirror above the Moog and PPG (top row of modules) broke during some transport at a later point of his big tour in 1979.
