Jigsaw

Jigsaw by curvetheory
"Just having a little fun on a Sunday afternoon.

I am using a Voyager RME, which of course doesn't have a touch surface...enter the Korg KO Pro. I am using it to send MIDI CC# 1-3 to my Moog Multi-pedal, converting that to CV and then plugging those patch cables into the X, Y and Gate of the "Touch" section of the Moog VX-352, plugged into the RME. In the touch parameters of the RME, I have the X destination set to External Audio, which happens to be a pad sound from the E-Mu XL-7. The Voyager and XL-7 are being played through Ableton with an Akai MPK49 simultaneously. The Y destination on the Voyager is Filter Cutoff. The Gate destination is OSC 2. As I sweep the KO Pro's touch surface from left to right the audio of the XL-7 is brought in. As an added bonus, I'm using MIDIPipe to utilize the aftertouch of the MPK49 with the Voyager. Converting the aftertouch data to MIDI CC#4, routed to the Multi-pedal and being converted into CV, allows me to plug a patch cable with aftertouch into any CV that I want. In this piece the aftertouch is plugged into the LFO rate of the Moog CP-251, saw out to the filter cutoff in on the VX-352. The gurgley notes are a result of this technique. Yes, I do know this means I'm a geek. I'm no longer in denial."
