Anyone ID the synth? I'm guessing it's a Yamaha DX7. via Ian
Update via MajorDark in the comments: "The keyboarder is Thomas Fuchsberger, who died a few weeks ago. His father, Joachim "Blacky" Fuchsberger is a famous actor and talkmaster in germany."

Matt Berry was 10 when this was recorded. The keyboarder is Thomas Fuchsberger, who died a few weeks ago. His father, Joachim "Blacky" Fuchsberger is a famous actor and talkmaster in germany.
ReplyDeleteThx. Post updated.
ReplyDeleteI have to respectfully disagree about "best ever" ... my friend Karl's band had the interesting idea a couple years back of having an attractive young lady at each show, hold their Novation K-Station.

That's sexist, stupid, and untasteful Avery...sorry, not funny at all. Plus his music is terrible! Those girls look so unimpressed.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Charlie Clouser's NiN stand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iASKRxoI_Ys
Okay, my apologies for mentioning it.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is silly, and yes, they do look miserable. Not sure why I'm feeling so defensive - I would never do this, and personally I'd prefer a NIN style rotating spring loaded keyboard stand anyday.
I should have said "strangest" and not "best."
My stand of choice is the cheapest, lowest level X stand. Skimping on material means they're light, and you can remove the endpieces to wedge them into cases. Not glamorous, but very functional, and I have a pile of them.
